Welcome to the Mountainview International Christian School website. Our school is a community of students, teachers, national staff members, family and friends united by our love for God and one another. Our mission is to partner with parents, sending agencies, the Christian community and the Church to train up and educate children in a Christ-centered environment at a reasonable cost. Our vision is to pursue academic EXCELLENCE in a place of GRACE, so that lives will be TRANSFORMED by Christ to IMPACT the world. We hope the content of this site will be a blessing to you.

This year, I was given the privilege of opening the school year with a devotional thought during our first chapel. As I began to think and pray about what I should share in this chapel service, I spent some time looking back on my years of service here at Mountainview, and the wonderful impact the Lord has made on my life through this school. I also thought a lot about the mission and vision of our school. Through these times of reflection, the Lord kept bringing certain passages of scripture to my mind and the concept of “greatness” in God’s eyes.
One theme came from Matthew 22:34-40 and Mark 12:28-31, where Jesus explains the Greatest Commandments. Another passage of scripture was Matthew 28:19-20, where Jesus gives the SuperintendentGreat Commission. I was also drawn to Romans 12:1-2 and being a living sacrifice. I believe these passages from God’s Word reveal to us how we can be “great” in His eyes. We want to be great, not as the world defines it, but as God defines it.
I hope we will be focused on loving God with our whole lives as we are commanded this year. If we are really going to love God with our whole lives, we must be willing to surrender our lives to Him in obedience. Among His commands is the directive to go with Him and make disciples. One way we can do this is by loving our neighbors. It is my desire that our school community will be one that shines brightly in the darkness because of our love for God and for others. I hope will be used by Him to make a positive impact on those we meet, and that we will surrender completely to God as our act of worship.

Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
