Campus Facilities Mountainview’s beautiful 12.84-acre campus has a scenic view that is unsurpassed anywhere in the world. Palm trees, bamboo forests, and majestic volcanic mountains form the stunning backdrop to our campus.
All Mountainview students share the use of our modern, well-equipped campus and its auditorium, gymnasium/sports complex, outdoor track and soccer field, libraries, computer labs, science lab, and academic buildings with well-furnished classrooms…all of which provide excellent resources for learning. Those well-furnished classrooms are housed in the just-completed elementary school and the secondary school. Both buildings are connected by a new, covered food pavilion and walkway which allows easy access to both facilities even during rainy season. Mountainview students also enjoy the new gymnasium and sports complex located between elementary school and the soccer field and running track. The new facility features two full-size basketball (and volleyball) courts, a climbing wall and a weight-lifting center. Our boarding students also have fine facilities on campus where they are nurtured by loving Christian dorm parents. Both dorms, Sulawesi (boys) and Sumatra (girls), are conveniently located near school classrooms and the gymnasium. Each of the dorms can comfortably house 16 students in its modern, well-furnished “home away from home.” The Liles Center auditorium and reception hall is a large building on campus which is used for chapel services, other worship services, youth groups, plays, concerts, art displays, classes, meetings, assemblies, receptions and other student gatherings and social events. Also in the spacious building are the music and choral rooms, and a modern kitchen used for regular and ethnic cooking classes.
Mountainview provides many other facilities to enhance student learning. The secondary computer lab contains twenty computers, and the elementary computer room has twelve. All computers are equipped with the latest software and hardware programs, and are connected to the Internet and the school’s network and printers. Both secondary and elementary school have well-stocked, air-conditioned libraries, and biology and chemistry students study in our science lab.
